Periscope is the Twitter version of live video streaming straight from your iPhone directly towards your Twitter followers.
Here is a new app from Twitter that the entire world is talking about and will keep on talking about for months. The main strength of Periscope for iPhone is naturally its live video streaming function. This means that you can record video from your iPhone and stream it live right away towards the social network of the little blue bird. All your followers who have subscribed to your Twitter stream will automatically be warned that your video is being broadcasted. Your followers may then watch it live as well as comment it and send hearts in real time, either from Periscope installed on their iPhone, or from a web browser. Periscope for iPhone lets you also choose another sharing option if you just want to share the video with some of your followers and not with everybody following you on twitter. In that case, you just have to invite them instead of choosing the public mode.
Periscope differs from other live video apps like Meerkat than is to its replay function : your followers may replay or watch the video not live but after you have streamed it within a fair 48 hours limit. They will also be able to see all live comments and hearts that you have obtained with your video.
The application comes with a notification option that will let you being aware of any streamed video of any account that you follow yourself. You may configure this function according to your needs so that you don’t get too many notifications for nothing.
Periscope records a history of all the hearts that you have received thanks to your streamed videos. The app counts the number of hearts you have had and according to this figure will maybe place you in the list called “most loved”. As you have guest, the most hearts you have got, the better positioned you are on this list.
You now just have to upload for free Periscope for iPhone on the App Store and start recording your life and sharing it live with the world.
